Today I have planned to tell you how to Apply Restriction on many of the Computer Functions like those apply on Offices. These will surly help you while sharing your PC/Laptops to any one in Hostel Colleges to the unknown seeker. You can create the new account like USER and apply all the restriction there. All your Data will be Safe and moreover PC setting will be Safe from any harmful changes. This is done just by editing the windows Registry. Registry is the Database of computer where all the setting are saved in form on binary/hexadecimal values.
Remember!!!!
Before any Change in Registry of the computer have a backup of your registry as backup.reg file on safe place. To do this, simply go to Run-> type ‘regedit’ Registry Editor will be open then Go to File->Export-> and save the File have backup.
So you are ready…
For Changes simply go to the Regedit From Run Dialogue.
The same key shows up at:
HKEY_USERSUSERNAMESoftware Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Policies Explorerso change it there also if you are using different profiles.
Now Proceed As follows:
1. Open RegEdit
2. Go to HKEY_USERSUSERNAMESoftware Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Policies Explorer
3. On Right side Right Click select New-> DWORD Value.
4. Put name of the Key ‘Name’ and put 0 for off and 1 for on the restriction
Now You have to put the following text for Restriction whose Description are mentioned.
You have to put its value to 1 for On and 0 for Off. After u have done Refresh the window [F5] for save to be changed.
